Hartwood Roses Open Garden Days

Get your Roses On!! The Hartwood Old World Rose Gardens will be open for visitors and buyers from 10 – 3 on the following Sundays (not Saturdays as the old pictures says):

                          May 6

                         May 13

                                                      May 27

                                                      June 3

Connie shares that “The Rugosa section in the rose field is particularly spectacular this year!”  As any of you know who have visited Hartwood Roses before, Connie has taken on a Grandeos Love project with her Rose gardens.  While she loves having guests and buyers to the gardens, she reminds us that she is a one woman operation and does all the work herself so don’t expect perfection.  “What you WILL see when you visit are roses growing and thriving despite less-than-perfect care”, says Connie.  Also, there are some great baby plants that are available for purchase so you can nurture and ween them from their pots as they acclimate to your garden.

If you cannot visit in person, don’t forget you can visit and purchase your favorites on the Hartwood Roses website.  To stay up on everything going on at Hartwood Roses, like them on Facebook.

Those of you attending this weekends Lewis Ginter Botanical Garden Spring Plant sale in Richmond will see Hartwood Roses there today, Friday May 4th 9 – 5 and tomorrow, Saturday, May 5th 9 – 3.

Directions to Harwood Roses:  95 to Exit 133 towards Warrenton.  Travel about 5 miles to a right on Rt. 612, Hartwood Rd. Travel another mile and a half.  Hartwood Roses is on your left.
